Our NFPA 855 training will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge you need to confidently navigate the standard and understand the requirements, whether you are an AHJ, developer, manufacturer, or contractor.

  • Application and Navigation: Understand when NFPA 855 applies and the best approaches to navigate the chapters.

  • General Requirements: Chapter 4. 

  • Commissioning, Decommissioning, Maintenance: Chapter 6/7/8

  • Electrochemical Energy Storage Systems: Chapter 9 

  • Storage and Collection: Chapter 14

  • Residential Units: Chapter 15

The class will dive into pivotal topics such as equipment Listings, explosion control, fire suppression, UL 9540/UL9540A, emergency planning/training, hazard mitigation analysis (HMA), ESS siting and clearances, and more.
